Pablo's Weekly Workshop Diary: 14th June 2026

Plenty of conversions this week, new stock arrivals and even a trip out to one of the UK's best skating venues.

This Week We...

We kicked off the week by converting a pair of classic Bauer 22 boots into custom quad skates. These vintage recreational hockey skates continue to prove why they're so popular for conversions, offering a great balance of comfort and support.

Next up were some Bauer Vapor X:01 boots. These older Vapors have become increasingly sought after among quad skaters thanks to their iconic styling.

We also mounted some striking white Sure-Grip Rock plates onto a pair of Bauer X-LP boots. The white plates look fantastic against the boots and create a clean, modern aesthetic.

Premium builds were also on the bench this week, including a pair of Nike Flexlite 1 boots fitted with Sure-Grip Avanti Aluminium plates. One of the standout builds of the week was a pair of Nike Flexlite 2 boots mounted on Sure-Grip Avenger Magnesium plates and finished with Air Waves wheels and Rollerbones bearings. This premium setup delivers an incredibly responsive and smooth skating experience.

Away from conversions, we continued experimenting with our custom 3D printed skate heels, testing a range of multi-colour combinations. It's always exciting to see new ideas come to life and explore ways to offer even more customisation options. The printer was working overtime as we produced a batch of large white skate heels to keep up with demand.

We also took a trip to Rollerworld Derby. It's always great to visit one of the UK's best indoor skating venues and spend some time around the wider skating community.

Finally, as it was Small Business Week, we took the opportunity to celebrate independent businesses and reflect on how far Pabloskates has come. Supporting small businesses really does make a difference, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support the workshop.

This week we had some Bauer Vapor VII boots arrive and they're now available for sale.

We also received two pairs of the increasingly sought-after white Bauer Supreme Elite boots in sizes 4 and 5. Their distinctive white accents make them stand out from the crowd and they're becoming harder to source as time goes on.
